I like this story on decision fatigue, if for no other reason than that it makes me feel justified in eating the same thing day after day-I’m saving up willpower!-and as a bonus offers a reason to eat when I want to improve my decisionmaking.

I don't usually recommend fanfic, because I'm usually behind the curve -- if I've seen it and it's SV, anybody who might be interested has probably seen it as well. Yeah, not as enticing as "Girls, girls, girls" -- or really, given my assumed audience, "boys, boys, boys." But I have many more books than boys (and I'm not sharing him). Fantasy and science fiction.
